For me, life is about finding balance, moderation and originality, while navigating through our consumer-driven world.  I’m interested in how we, as human beings, are driven by our needs and desires, and how our culture cleverly manipulates and blurs the lines between them.  In my work, I tend to focus on concepts of fame, addiction, drugs, wealth and life-cycles of consumer items.  Since many of these topics can be perceived as taboo or polarizing, my aim is always to alleviate the pressure on the subject matter and to make it approachable, light-hearted and sometimes just funny.  I prefer to stay right in the middle of the road, and walk that tightrope between what’s perceived as “good” or “bad”— it’s all simply a reflection of who we are as a culture.
